What's the best pc build for running battlefield 3 and 4 for around £750-£800? If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thanks!

do you need stuff like kb , mouse , LCD etc.. ,or an OS?
without them these two are unbeatable :p
based on UK prices:

You can choose b/w either if you have any preferences or whatever.

Intel Build -

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£173.82 @ Aria PC)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£134.98 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£66.40 @ Amazon UK)

Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£49.13 @ CCL Computers)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer (£17.35 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £805.12
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

AMD Build-
( about 40+% better GPU and a similar performing CPU though Intel does better )
( overclocking CPU will help you get maximum out of your PC and no problem in balancing b/w GPU and CPU )
( This might be a bit out of budget , though is a very good future proof but will still be fine if you choose Intel one over this one )

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor (£109.50 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£23.50 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£54.64 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£59.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£80.00 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card (£389.74 @ Scan.co.uk)
Case: Antec One ATX Mid Tower Case (£43.00 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£67.32 @ CCL Computers)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer (£17.35 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £845.04
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

R9 280x is quite good card and will face no trouble for upcoming years in maximizing any game at 1080p.
780 is quite an overkill for that budget but since it can fit going with a better GPU is always a better choice.
If you demand very high stable fps atleast 60 and even high so 780 becomes a choice while a good average of 40-60 , 280x is more than enough at high resolutions FOR EVERY new demanding games.

you can look for their offers i.e. free games 780 comes with 3 games ( Assasin's Creed IV , Splinter cell Black list and Batman) and 280x with BattleField 4 code.

Both build will be sufficient for your needs.
i can recommend you first one . if you do choose it , you may wanna swap the PSU of first with the second one to get a future proof for Crossfirex and overclocking requirements.

p.s: Most of the games need more good GPU than a much good CPU, so yeah choice is yours.
However balance need to be maintained b/w CPU and GPU. which is very well done in above builds.
Both CPUs lies in close performance but Intel has more per core performance.
Extra cores of Fx 8320 can give you boost in multithreaded tasks and a good optimised games which may arrive in future. They would take up full use of extra cores so giving increase in performance. Hence in gaming both CPU becomes best for their prices however for lower price 8320 becomes a better choice
