Hey guys. I recently bought a new laptop for school work and minor games like minecraft.
Here's the link to it: http://www.microcenter.com/product/415224/G505s_156_Laptop_Computer_-_Black.

So I tried minecraft and it gets about the same fps regardless of what graphics settings.
It stays around 20-35 fps on any settings. Online I heard this laptop should max minecraft with
50 - 60ish fps. So could it be only me.

Any answers. By the way my warranty lasts a year so that's not a problem.

The Richland mobile Radeon HD 8650G should whip up on Minecraft.

Is there a way in the BIOS for you to designate the amount of memory available to the iGPU? It may be set artificially (or ridiculously) low - like 64MB.

IIRC, you should be able to designate as much as 2GB -- not sure you would need that amount for Minecraft, though.
