I saw a similar thread to this but i would like to push the limits of my 8350 :pt1cable:
Currently i am at 1.58V @ 5.1 Ghz with an H100 from Corsair, 8GB DDR3 @2133
My idle temps are about 36C and i never have put more than 50% load on the CPU doing any sort of task and that tamp was 48C, i would like to get to 5.5Ghz but does anyone here have experience past 1.55V? Thanks

More about : max voltage speed 8350

Run Prime95 monitor your temps, because you should not EVER overclock that far without stress testing it. You shouldn't have to go that high with your voltage either.

What's the sense of trying to get higher and damage your chip if you never get past 50% load on it? As said, try a Prime95 load or Intel burn in Test, or OCCT and I bet it will crash or cripple your system, and thus, not a good overclock.

Yeah, Prime95 will probably crash you. That is a good thing. That means it is a bad overclock, but you'll know it is and we won't see a thread in a couple days "help my computer is crashing why?".

Actually I ran prime95 for 25 min and no crash, I know how to overclock and I have built computer for 10+ years I just want to know the MAX voltage for fx 8350

1.5. Also 25 minutes is useless. Run it for 2-3 hours and then MAYBE it's stable.

what was the temp after prime, blend test, 8 workers, full stress loading. Can't see it being only 48 on that much of OC with prime.

After 25 min and running fine low chance anything new will happen

Don't mean to be rude, but you are rather obviously clueless. Just run it longer.

In 25 min at 100% u will know if your pc is unstable anything longer is overkill in my opinion

Not at all. Please, just trust me. Put a frying pan on your stove. Turn the stove on. The pan is not automatically as hot as it can possibly get. It will keep heating up. After a few hours it might start to warp. Even longer, maybe it will actually start to glow. Prime95 for 25 minutes is helpful, but that does NOT mean it is stable, not at all. I can overclock my 4100 to 5ghz and run it for 25 minutes and the temperatures will be fine. At about 40 minutes, it shuts off. So, you can assume it's stable and keep overclocking and ignore common sense, or you can not be an idiot and run it a bit longer. If you screw it up, it's your own fault you wasted $200 just to fry the CPU.

Also, your opinion may be that it's overkill, but then again, some people's opinions can be that 2+3=23.
