Hello everybody. I've been roaming these forums for a while, but I'm glad to finally be posting something! I apologise if this is posted in the wrong place.

I'm hoping to get into the litecoin mining scene and I'm looking for the parts for my first rig. The trouble is, a lot of the guides I'm following use components ordered from Amazon US, so I'm trying to get the corresponding parts from Amazon UK. I was wondering if anyone could please help me decide on which power supply and which cpu cooler/fan I need.

I'm planning on using 3 Radeon R9 280X GPUs. Do I need a 1250 W power supply? Or would 850 W be enough? I don't know much about power supplies and there's a few Seasonic 850 W supplies on Amazon and I'm a bit overwhelmed. Does anyone have any particular recommendations? Ideally I'd like as cheap as possible, but I don't mind shelling a bit more for quality.

As for cpu coolers/fans, I'm really in the dark. My CPU is an AMD Sempron 145.

Thank you very much for anyone who can help me out. I really appreciate it. Here is a list of my planned components so far:

Motherboard
CPU
GPU (x3)
Memory

Many thanks again! I also welcome opinions on my other components :)

The window for making money on litecoins has long since past
If you want to do it for intertainment you would need atleast 1000watts for the build

Hi MFBLO96, thanks for your response. I don't really want to get into a debate about the profitability of litecoin mining. It would be nice to make a profit of course, but this is also a bit of fun as well! I do appreciate your advice though.

Ok so 1000 W should be enough then. But when I go to Amazon there's a lot to choose from and as I said I don't know much about PSUs. Would any of them be compatible with my motherboard? For instance, this was the top one on the list:

This one also had more good ratings:

Thank you.
