Okay so first and foremost, this will be my very first Custom PC. I've had enough of all this pre-built crap that all these companies try to throw at us. Currently I just have a late 2011 Macbook Pro. It was a gift so I can't say much about it. It's done a good job of providing me with something convenient and mobile since I'm still in college. I plan on purchasing the following however (let me know if I have enough components so start off with and if everything should be compatible with each other):

Intel Core i5 Processor i5-4670K 3.4GHz 6MB LGA 1150 CPU (SuperBiiz) $214.99

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card (newegg) $259.99

ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (newegg) $114.99

2x G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9S-4GBXL (newegg) $77.98

Thermaltake Tough Power TP-750P 750W ATX 12V 2.3 & SSI EPS 12V 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply (newegg) $69.99

Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive (newegg) $64.99

DIYPC Solar-M1-R Black SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Red Fans (newegg) $39.99

ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner (newegg) $19.99

Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard (newegg) $49.99

E-blue Cobra Junior 1600dpi Gaming Mouse Red LED Light EMS109L (amazon) $13.88

SteelSeries QcK Mini Gaming Mouse Pad (Black) (amazon) $7.99

Total: $934.77

I'm still deciding on whether I should buy it or not. I have the money but I could save it for other things down the road. The Macbook still serves my needs and I have a PS4 that I can game on. If I do end up buying this then this would turn into my primary gaming platform and I'd just go to console for exclusives. Also, don't worry about an OS, my friend is hooking me up with Windows 7 Ultimate so I'd just be getting that for free. I just want to know what you guys think about this build and any opinions or advice you might want to give me, I really appreciate anyone that takes the time to help me out.

Hey I think this looks pretty good. I wouldn't buy an msi gtx 760 because MSI has awful tech support and its hard to RMA from them. Gigabyte or evga would be better brands. Also if you are buying a i5 5670k then you will want an aftermarket cooler (if you are gonna overclock) such as the cooler master hyper 212 evo. Otherwise buy the i5 4670 (non unlocked).

Also I wouldn't buy a thermaltake power supply apparently they aren't reliable. perhaps a seasonic Seasonic M12II 620W BRONZE would be better. You don't need a 750W psu if you aren't doing sli

I decided to go with the MSI because it was the better value, it was the cheapest but with better specs in comparison to EVGA and Gigabyte. As for the i5, I plan on overclocking it down the road. Do you think I'd be fine with how it is now and then when I plan to OC, buy a cooler? I'll look more into it though, thank you.

I would say buy the cooler and install it when you put everything together. Its way way easier to install a cooler before you put it into a case.

about the graphics card. It was my personal preference as far as the companies go. Its up to you what you do

I just picked out a Rosewill RCX-Z300 cooler. It's cheap and from the reviews it seems to do the job. Thanks a ton bro.

UPDATE: I realized that the Rosewill RCX-Z300 is only for LGA 775 type sockets. Fortunately enough, I was able to find a Cooler Master TX3 for $16.99 on SuperBiiz!

Yeah, thanks bud! Also do you think 600w would be enough for this rig? I found a Corsair 600w for about $65.
