My PC Randomly Shuts off Every Once in a-while

Hi all. I've searched this forum for similar problems to mine but all of them are slightly different, and I want to be sure I get a fix that is specific to my system. Every once in a-while, my PC shuts off. Dead. Then, in like 4 seconds, it comes back online. It happens at random times, but it happens at least once in an hour. I just got this PC for Christmas, so I'm guessing all the hardware should be fine.

Here's my Specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z87X- UD4H
CPU: Intel core I5 4670k @ 3.4 GHz (Not over clocked)
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 780 3GB
PSU: Cosair AX760 (760 watt)
Case: Fractal Design R4
My CPU cooler was the Hyper 212 Evo but it turns out it's not compatible with the new intel 1150 socket for the CPU, so I'm using the stock cooler ATM.

Thanks for the help :)

Edit: I can't tell if it shuts down whilst it's under load , because usually it does, but sometimes it does it while it's not under any load. Just Chrome open.

Your power supply might be faulty. And by the way, the 212 evo is compatible with the 1150 socket

I don't think the Hyper is compatible. It doesn't have the 1150 on the box, the closest to it is the 1155 socket.

The 1156, 1155, and 1150 sockets are all the same size. If a cooler says it's compatible with any one of those sockets, then it is compatible with all of them. I built my friend a pc with an i5 4670k and hyper 212 evo and it works just fine

Bump! It happened again whilst I was gaming. Is there a way I can test for a faulty PSU other than getting a new one? I dont want to spend a ton of money if it isn't broken at all? Also, on the Program "Speccy" it says my CPU is 60C and GPU is about 70C. Is that too high? Is "Speccy" reliable?

Those temps are fine for haswell and 780 (I have a near identical build), as for the power, there are very few ways to test a PSU, you could borrow a compatible PSU from a friend to compare, or try it without the 780, if that doesn't work, claim on corsair's award winning warranty (or customer service).
