Hi Guys, ive been reading a lot in this forum and decided to ask you all about the pc im about to buy myself in a couple of days. It's gonna be my first desktop.

I'll use this pc only for gaming... and im open for any other tips, advices, hints =D

This should be the parts ill use to build my pc:

- Microsoft Windows 8.1 64bit, OEM -D-
- Fractal Define R4 - Black Pearl (Midi Tower)
- Seasonic P-860 (SS-860XP F3) Platinum (860W)
- Still dont know which mainboard, i dont need wlan.
- Intel Core i5 4670K BOX, 3.4GHz, LGA 1150, 4C/4T, unlocked
- Noctua NH-D14 (120mm)
- Kingston HyperX black, 2x8GB, DDR3-1600, CL10 @1.5V
- WD Red, 64MB, 2TB, SATA-3, 24/7 NAS
- Samsung SSD 840 Basic, TLC, 250GB, SATA-3, 2.5 Zoll
- Asus Xonar DGX, 5.1 PCI-E x1 Soundkarte

I still dont know which monitor to buy, i just want a 27" with 2560/1440p

- Dell UltraSharp U2713HM, 27" TFT Wide, HDMI + DisplayPort
- Acer B276HUL, 27" LED, IPS, DisplayPort,
- Asus PB278Q, 27" LED, HDMI, Pivot, Schwarz

And about the graphic cards i dont know if i should buy a 780 nividia or wait for the r9 290's

- EVGA GTX-780 SC ACX, 3GB GDDR5, PCI-E x16 3.0
- Sapphire TriX R9 290 4GB, PCI-E 3.0

For now Ill use a single monitor, but later on i might buy a gsync monitor 24" FullHD.
in some years ill probably use SLI or CFX so the mainboard should probably be "equiped" with that ^.^

Im really open for any piece of advices i could use to build my pc, even if its changing a part i already choosed.

Thank you all for answering and wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! =D

Hey for a mobo I recommend the asus z87-a or an asrock extreme 4. Both are really good, just get the one thats cheaper at the time.

GPU: definitely the gtx 780 because its way way cheaper than the r9 290. also the r9 is out of stock in many places.

PSU: You don't need a 860 W psu. any seasonic psu that gives you 750W is enough, or you could try a corsair hx750 or RM 750.

As far as a monitor goes all of the monitors are good. just get the cheapest one.

Are you gonna overclock? Then you will need a third party cooler (a cooler master hyper 212 evo is good)

Lastly I don't think you will need a sound card. Nowadays most of the sound units built into the mobos are good enough.
