So this is what is going on. I am connected to the internet through a router and modem, and so is my brother. I am connected using an Ethernet cord and he is using wifi.
Like this:

The problem is I am only getting 10mbps for link speed and he is getting around 58mbps. On speed test my download speed is about 10Mbps while his is about 20mbps. Our upload speeds are about the same (He has maybe 3 more megabits).

^ This is in Megabits ^
So Why is he getting more than me and why is my link speed stuck at 10mbps when it should be at 100 since i am using a Ethernet cord? Also the internet my mom is paying for is Xfinity blast so i'm pretty sure this is way to low for what we are paying for.

You could try re-booting the router and the modem. (power them off for about thirty seconds)
If that doesn't change anything you may have to ask your ISP's customer service for help.
It is also possible that the modem is failing.

I already tried doing that and we did call isp and had a guy come out and he didn't find anything wrong, he only suggested a new modem since it could be failing like you said, so we went out and bought a new modem and it did nothing, still have the same speed.

That 58Mbps sounds like the wireless link speed (pc to access point), not the actual modem to ISP connection speed.

What speed are you paying for?
What make/model is the modem?
What make/model is the router?

My guess is that you've got a 10Mbps device in there somewhere.

Sorry for the late response, was out, ok so I believe my mom is paying for the xfinity blast service, I have the Motorola SB6121 Modem, and a WRT54G Wireless Linksys router.
