Hi y'all. I recently built a new computer and everything appears to be working fine except the hdd doesn't show up. I have windows installed on my ssd but need the hdd for additional. It shows up in the BIOS but not in windows even in the the computer manager. According to the guide that would mean I needed a sata driver or one of the ports was bad, but I've updated the driver twice and plugged into other ports including ones that I know work with other drives, but no dice. Any suggestions or could be that I got a bad drive? Relevant specs are as follows:
WD AV-GP 1 TB hdd
MSI Z87 mpower mobo
win 7 home premium 64-bit

Thanks in advances

Checked it multiple times, it isn't in disk management and I can't format it. I even tried hooking it up to by usb to my laptop, but I still can't format it. Oh well, I got it on sale so its not a huge loss. I'll see if I can RMA it with newegg. Thanks anyhow.
