I was wondering if my Hp p7 1234 stock could Run and Fit this card.

Pc Specs http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03363664&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5231485

The Graphics Card

I've read that it won't be a problem with a 300w power supply Seeing how the card doesn't need one. I guess my main worry is the fit.

This site gives compatible Motherboards for the card and my board is listen under there.
My Board is AAHD2-HY (Holly)

Sorry for the links, and the long wall of text. I just want to make sure before I order something online.

You might have a hobbled HP P7 bios. I have a win 7 x64 HP P7 with Intel i3 2100 and H77 chipset like that that limits CPU upgrades to 66w parts and so far won't recognize 2 different Gigabyte R7 250 2GB video card.

The PSU has been upgraded to 550W and I used the 2 avail. 6 pin aux power connectors and even tried updating the MB bios. Vid card won't post I think HP hobbles Bios as far as CPU and video card upgrades that may be over the OE CPU options and power rating of CPU or GPU supplied as one of their OE options on that model.

They might do the same thing with Video cads over 66Watt PCI power or anything they didn't put in them good luck .

I ran into HP MB bios CPU upgrade limitations to a 66W CPU and also only one that came in it even though I tried to put a CPU that was only 3 mo newer same type only 4 cores than my PC was. and also a 66W part .

I ended up getting a 4 core same type CPU that was avail. earlier the same year as PC that one worked .

IOW if the upgrade is presumably compatible with your MB and everything else it may not work in an
OEM PC because of Mutant OEM bios limitations by the PC mfr like HP.Dell,Gateway etc.that might not be present on the same aftermarket motherboard.

^^^ I was able to find that out on my P7 also hobbled presumably custom AMI M.B bios specific to my model PC but not same aftermarket M.B good luck but don't bet any money you don't mind loosing on it !
