Hello ive never switched hdd on same computer before because mine has lasted for 5 years now, so the thing is that i pirated windows 7, bought the windows 8 upgrade and installed windows 8 that way (don't tell the cops haha) and i was wondering how i place my current windows 8 and all its programs over to a new hdd while the main hdd is plugged in. Do i just plug the other hdd in while the main one is in and just copy all files and print it over to the new hdd? any suggestions? im fairly new to this so sorry if im abit of a noob.

the problem with that is that you will have to have some sort of system to go on your browser and download the windows 7

Your easiest, best, legal solution is to simply buy a copy of Windows 8 for the new PC.
Chalk up the earlier upgrade from pirated 7 to a lesson in "don't pirate Windows".

Seriously.
