This is not really a problem. It is rather annoying. When I turn my PC on, I log in right away it will be fine, however, if leave it at the log in screen for a while the loading time will increase from 6 second to like 2 and half minutes.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced the same.

I am currently running windows 8.

Solution
It's probably because in the time that you are waiting, the background processes are populating, so when you do finally log in, Windows has to deal with that request plus whatever else is in the background.

When you go in straight away it only has a few processes to deal with.

Open msconfig and disable any unneeded start-up processes.

Well I guess it is as good as any answer. though I don't think it is the cause, because once I log in, it still loads everything.

But it is as good as any answer. Cheers
