Alright, recently in this pc, I've had for about two years, I've been having fps drops, only for the past few months, there is no reason at all for this to be happening, espeically when previously I would reach over 200 fps on minecarft. This is happening in all games though, I can run at 60+ fps for a while and then it drops. But I used to run over 200 fps in minecraft 1.6 with no problem but averaged maybe around 100 fps. Specs do not matter in this case, please dont ask about them, because as I said previously everything used to run at 60+ fps, including battlefield 3. So I'd just like to know how to fix it. I can't get a new pc, the only thing I can problobly do in the next year to fix it is, new cpu, gpu, or ram or maybe a new os.And if I do get new of these things, I can only get one of them, because I have max 200 dollars, except maybe ram I can get something else if i get that too. I have win7 32 bit, and 2gb of ram, it sounds bad, but it used to run amazing.

Also does anyone know where I can get a win7 64bit at?

Also forgot to mention it drops to below 30, most of the time to 10.
And no nerdy answers, or no get a new pc answers, I want a simple answer of a simple way to fix the problem.

with your disregard of what we may need to know about your system............... do malware scans/virus scans/disk clean ups and defrags.

clean all the dust from heat sinks and fans.

you're right, didn't need to know anything about your system...... please don't swear.

clean the dust out of everything. maybe pull the card and remove the heatsink and fan. clean up and replace the thermal paste and put the thing back together............. doing the same to the cpu might not be a bad idea either. anyways, clean up the gpu for now............ case fans to.

Thanks for the help, and sorry, didn't realize this behavior was unacceptable.. it won't happen again.

cleaned all the dust out, cleared space, now 90 gb in hd, still plays 80 fps for around 8 minutes. Drops anywhere from 3 - 10.

sounds like something is heating up. I would pull the heat sink from the gpu, clean the old paste up, reapply new and put the thing back together and give it a try.

I would also pull the heat sink and fan from the cpu and do the same thing.
