So how far could a http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19489 wireless card reach? i am approximately 25m from the router, i currently have a d-link n-125 usb one that is just awful, barely loads anything, cant play online etc, but if you have a cable our internet runs fine, so it is fully just the distance not the internet itself that is the trouble.

If this would not reach, are there any that would? or will i need to buy a very large cable?

Thanks in advance - Pat

For devices running on 2.4 GHz, the range can go up to 30-56 meters (without obstructions) and it states it can go up to 5Hz if settings are tweaked. If you can change your modem settings then that wirless adapter would suite your needs.

Unfortunately there is a brick wall to go through, and the kitchen is in the way, so all of the microwave, oven, fridge etc, but the 5GHz channel should bypass those i think.

Thanks a lot for the help. Glad that this should work :D, saves me buying a giant ethernet cable and having a wire through the whole house haha.
