Hello,
I received a brand new WD Blue 1Tb internal hard drive for my pc, I understand it needs to be set up before using but I cannot seem to be able to set it up.
I have connected it properly, it's getting power, it shows up in disk management and I tried to allocate it, it gets allocated, but when I go to change the letter or format it.. A window pops up saying:
"An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer."
So I decided to try formatting it in a windows environment so I got my win7 ultimate disc, and I got to the drive select section and I formatted the drive, then right after I restarted the computer and I still get said error above..
Also the only thing I can do is delete the volume within disk management and it becomes unallocated a gain, its like a loop, this problem..
Could I have a faulty drive?
