Approximate Purchase Date: Within 2 weeks

Budget Range: $1500 after shipping/rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: Not reusing any parts

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: No preference, but used to Newegg and Amazon. Also, I do have a gift certificate to Newegg worth $200, so any parts that could be purchased from there would be helpful.

Location: Rockford, IL

Parts Preferences: No brand preference.

Overclocking: Maybe. I would like to, but have no experience with it.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe. I want the build open to SLI/Crossfire later down the road, but will not have one currently.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080. May upgrade the monitor in another month or so.

Additional Comments: The case included in the parts list was purchased back in November, but is still included in the $1500 price tag. Also, I am unsure on Windows 7 vs 8, as I've heard some grating comments about the app-ish start menu on Windows 8.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I am trying to update my system, because my current one has not been able to run some newer games well. It's been a few years since my last system upgrade, and I wanted to look into building a new system.

This is the current build that I am considering, however, any possible improvements, either for price or performance would be appreciated:

Parts you can buy on newegg with your voucher
case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139010

Ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

Everything else looks good your psu will even be good if you want to sli.

I do recommend win 8 over 7 it will boost your system performance a little bit since it uses less system resources
Your motherboard is also good for overclocking since you wanted to tinker with that in the future.
Hope this helped :)

I've already purchased the case before I received the voucher, but I will find another part to fit in with the RAM to use on it.

Good to know the Motherboard and PSU allow for those down the road, and I will keep the win 8 recommendation in mind.
