Dell 755 Optiplex SFF PCI Express x16 Slot not recognised

Hi there,

My Dell 755 Optiplex SFF is not recognising my PCI Express x16 slot as such, and seems to detect it as just a PCI slot. Any ideas why this might be the case? Might I need to update motherboard drivers or something so the slot is recognised?
I can provide Speccy or TechPower-Up GPU-Z stats if required.

Hi there Photonboy,

Have tried to install an XFX Radeon HD6670 2GB Graphics card in my PCIe slot and my pc won't recognise it, either through the BIOS or through Vista. In the BIOS it says slot 'not populated'.

Tried everything but no joy........
