I bought a Dell XPS 9100 a few years back out of lazyness and now that It won't play the newer games well anymore I'm wondering If I can start swapping out parts.

Specs:
GPU GeForce GTS 450
CPU i7 960
9GB RAM

I couldn't see what motherboard(numbers on it 5DN3X A00) was in there....assuming its their own? I'm mainly looking for a GPU upgrade as I believe my CPU and RAM are where they need to be still. But I haven't done this in awhile so any help would be appreciated!

Solution
Check to see if it has a PCI-E 3.0 slot. Also check if it can fit into your case

GTX 760 Graphics Card Dimensions:
Height: 4.376 inchesHeight
Length: 9.5 inchesLength
Width: Dual-slot

Looking at the dual slot is also important because you may need to remove your sound card that Dell gives you. However this is not a problem as the motherboard's onbarod would sufice

So it looks like it. Now when I built the machine I didnt give it an audio card. So by dual-slot does that means its going to plug into 2 slots right?
