i hav an asus m2n68 am se2 mobo with amd x2 7750 3gb ram
i am looking to upgrade my cpu
please help me
my budget is $150
i am looking play games like nfsmw12
assassins creed

Ah yeah it is.

Depending on OP's budget I'd go with the

AMD A10-5700 APU or
AMD Phenom II X4 965

Thing is that motherboard is quite old and wont accept any current fx series chip, else I would have recommended an fx6300

This is probably the best cpu and motherboard upgrade you can get

or, intel option, later on you can up it to an i5

Note that the first option has an unlocked cpu which can be overclocked but the second option has a better upgrade path

or, better than both but slightly over budget

I would personally take the third option as it is much better than the first two (better cpu, better motherboard) and you can up it to a 6300/8320 later on

No, they are two different sockets and the am2+ socket is really old. Check out my motherboard and cpu combinations above
