CPU Temps super low.

I just installed my AMD FX 8350 8-core CPU and the temps are idling between 1-10C and when I launched BF4 it didn't get any higher than 20C. I have a Thermal Take Water 2.0 liquid cooler. Is this normal for my temps to be this low?

Ya I know its a good thing, just seemed kind of odd that my temps were that low, when I had this liquid cooler on my last cpu and the lowest temps I would get were like 20C idling, and about 40C gaming.

How is it 1-10 degrees? Is your room super cold, or does the cooler actually act like a freezer?

The cpu shouldn't be able to be below room temperature; it doesn't make sense (unless the cooler actively sucks the heat from the liquid coolant (and that doesn't make sense either, as there is a radiator, is there not?)).

Maybe the thermometer is broken. Could be dangerous.

That does seem too low. What are you using to monitor your temps? What is the ambient in your house? I have a H100i and my 4670k idles around 30c and peaks at 55c under full load, 40-50c while gaming which sounds right but yours sounds like it is not reading the sensor properly.

It could mean you need a BIOS update or it could mean the software doesn't recognize the CPUs sensor properly.

10c means the CPU is running at 50f and unless your ambient is 5c, which would be cold as crap, the above is the possibility.

I am using Core Temp to monitor my temps, yes it is pretty cold in my room, I have been running a stress test on my cpu right now for the last two minutes and the temp has only gotten up to 32C

Hey jimmy, I agree with what you said, I'm just letting you know that your gpu-z says you have a 2500k, when you said you have a 4670k. Congrats on the upgrade, anyways.

And how cold is it in your room?
If your idle temps are ~5 degrees above ambient room temp, then that's normal, even if that means 10 degrees.

I have tried 3 different CPU temp programs and they all come back as super low temps, but when I launch the startup BIOS it shows me the actual cpu temp. Anyone have an idea if maybe the CPU could be faulty or maybe just the programs are not reading my CPU properly?
