Ok guys. Here's the thing. I've been told that the 8350 can reach 62 core and 70 socket and still be safe. I have SpeedFan and Hardware Monitor installed. What SpeedFan shows as CPU temp in hardware monitor it is shown as "CPUTIN" (I know this because both temperatures changed at the same moment and were always the same). In hardwaremonitor, the cpu temperature shows much lower than CPUTIN/SpeedFan CPU. Which is socket and which is core? Please, i want to know so i can overclock without doubting that i'm going too far.

Solution
both of your temp is too high for safe temperature..
but usually the higher one is the cpu temp..
for the test, try to stress your cpu with prime95 or other stress software..
the fastest number changing while stressing, that's your cpu temp..

Try to use different software..
coretemp, hwmonitor, lavalyst aida..

Reseat your cpu cooler, and reapplied thermal paste on it..

Assuming your cpu is reporting it's temps right, you're already 2C-7C over the max "safe" temps for the FX cpu. Generally speaking they are no longer stable or for that matter all that safe over 60C... in reality you probably shouldn't get up much higher then 55C...

so, try to use different software..
coretemp, hwmonitor, lavalyst aida..

and try to replace your thermal paste..
if all above is not work, then get a better cooler, something like coolermaster evo 212 will handle your octa core cpu heat very well..

i am using prime95, speedfan, hardware monitor and CPU Z. I am not hitting 70 or 62 degrees. I'm getting 55 tops on the hardware monitor cpu temp and i got to 64 on the CPUTIN. My question is this then: If CPUTIN is the cpu temperature I should monitor, than where is the CPU temperature from Hardware Monitor coming from? (the 55 degrees).

"Socket" temps generally runs 8-10C higher than "Core" temp. AMD uses a "algorithm" to compute core temp and is not accurate below 35-40C, it's common to see reported temps below ambient. AMD FX core 62C and socket 70C allow for a generous safety margin.
