Rest of build is finished

Should I buy one 780 ti Kingpin and buy another in 8 months, should I buy 2 780s and call it good for a half decade, or should I buy a 290 non reference and another in maybe 2-3 months?

Hello
If you want the longest life out of your cards i would get the 780ti and then buy another one however if i was to choose i would buy the 2 780s becuase i think they are at a good price right now and as you say will be plenty for many years to come.

It depends, ti is slightly better but a lot more expensive (I can get an r9 for the price of a non ti 780), it depends on the games you want to play, a lot of games recently seem to play favourites with a company, usually Nividia, although not always. In my opinion, I would wait a few months. If the 290xs get a decent cooling solution then I would fully advocate them
, else get a ti.

Pretty please tell me where you can get an R9 290 for $475, because you can get non reference 780s for that price on ebay..new.

Humungo fan of Gigabyte cards, always cheap while competing with the more expensive penultimate non reference cards.

Gigabyte are one of my favourite companies, I prefer Asus but they are so much more expensive (the asus r9 290x is around £50+ more expensive and is still reference cooled, although I expect they will release a much better version in a few months).

£ to $ converter.........489 Pounds is not 489 $ its $689ish... 780ti is a lot better because the custom coolers are 699.99 and run cooler and more stable on more pc games. AMD is only tuned to Battlefield 4 from what I can see at this point.
