Not really a big deal but curious as to why when idle I'm using 5.7-6GB of memory with every program and background program closed via task manager. I'm guessing it's just keeping everything 'ready' to help load the games that I play a lot...any clue?

I am using 16GB DDR3 Memory, and when I was checking it there the highest process right now is 74,174 k for Google chrome - mind you when I had everything closed the highest was the task manager and I think it was around 64 k.

Right now I am also doing a light OC of the RAM and have my processor at 4.0Ghz

As you can see it's pretty damn high.

As you can see, I keep my comp running for days at a time, so I decided to flush my RAM by just doing a restarted and of course that seemed to help drop it to the average usage of around 2.5GB usage.

I'm guessing the fact that I kept my computer running for days is what is going to contribute to having high RAM while idling because of all the programs I had been using at the time? If that is semi-true then it will probably rise to around 5.5-6gb once again after a few days usage.

As you can see there the svchost was the highest one there, responsible for opening .dll files to load applications faster, but is there some hidden memory usage somewhere?

Mind you I do play a lot of games and use Sony Vegas and Photoshop, etc from time to time...might contribute to the usage...Not really sure because I am a noob to this stuff.
