why does intel support crossfire yet AMD does not support SLI? i have been looking for an AMD motherboard since i have an AMD CPU so that maybe i can someday get another GPU and set up SLI but i dont want to have to buy 2 new GPUs to run crossfire since i went with nvidia. would there possibly be a motherboard that im not finding that is AMD that does support SLI?

More about : intel supports crossfire amd support sli

Intel support is different from NVIDIA support. NVIDIA supports SLI, AMD supports Crossfire. Intel and AMD CPU's support Both depending on the chips features. :D  Most of AMD motherboard supports SLI given that it is 2 NVIDIA card :D . You could not combine an AMD card and an NVIDIA card unless if its for computing purposes. :D

If you want to SLI on AMD and have a AM3+ CPU, go and get a Asus M5A99X or equivalent from other companies. 990FX chipset supports SLI
