Hey everyone, so my pc had been restarting during gaming or just random surfing and at one point it blackscreened after restarting 5 times so I decided to take it apart, dust out the GPU/CPU and make sure there was no dust between the connectors. In doing this, I accidentally bent some of the CPU pins while unsealing it from the heatsink but I was successful in fixing them all pretty much the way they were previous to my F-up. My problem now is, my black screen restarts have completely disappeared as of 5 days ago but now I get my FPS dropped to half no matter what game I play every 3-4 seconds. Happens during League of Legends, Age of Wushu and even during a 3dmark vantage benchmark. Does not happen outside of these full screen applications so I'm at a loss as to what to do.

At first I thought my random restarts were a driver issue so after I put my case back together, I installed the latest Nvidia Driver for my card 33x.xx, did nothing to help my issue.

I came across a potential fix involving uninstalling microsoft .net framework, did not help at all.

My idle core temps are 40c CPU, 36c GPU and 38c HDD
Under Load : 64C CPU, 55C GPU

Setup is

GPU : EVGA 550ti
CPU : AMD Phenom X6 1055t
HDD : Hitachi 500GB
MOBO : Gigabyte 880gm-ud2h
PSU : 600W Thermaltake (1 month old)
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 2x2GB 1600mhz

I'm completely at a loss as to what I need to change but what I know for sure is that my RAM is shot as I get about 10-15 BSODS a month on average and it came up with bad sectors during a memtest. My budget is about $210 and I really just need to make sure I replace the right parts here as money is tight in my house, borrowing the money to fix my pc as it is so I need to make the right decisions, just asking if anyone has come across this issue and what did they need to do to fix it!

UPDATE: Forgot to add, my usual FPS during LoL and Age of Wushu is around 45-60, 20-30 during teamfights for LoL and for Age of Wushu (It's a pretty graphic intensive game if you guys check it out) is about 30-45 as well, 20 with heavy load

You're definitely going to want to upgrade that GPU, as it simply won't cut it for most modern games.
Seeing as you believe your RAM is shot, you could pick up a pack of Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM for around $80-90, and a Radeon 7790 for around $110. Total would be about $200, and you'd be golden on all accounts.

You don't think the processor has anything to do with it? For now I was considering the 650ti and some sticks of cheap ram until I can throw another $200 into the rig and replace the CPU/Mobo as well. Thank you for the input though but I'm really familiar with EVGA's cards so I was deeply considering the 650ti 2gb

The processor could indeed use some upgrading, but not nearly as urgently as the GPU. I'd still suggest going with the 7790 for your budget, but If you want you want to pay more cash for 10% less peformance, be my guest. To be honest, there's really little to no difference between AMD and Nvidia cards.

I'd actually done alot of research on 100-150 dollar cards and where the 7790 was concerned, it came out 2nd in performance to the 650 ti, aside from that though, do you have any idea what could cause this stuttering? My core temps are well within safe ranges so I don't think my CPU is downclocking
