i already put up a post in theyr game forums, but the devs dont really be of ani help there, its mostly players based help what ill get there!

so ill do a copy, paste of what i already posted here and see if i can get a better help here:

so, i have a e8400 3.0ghz and a XFX HD 4850 GPU

Using Riva Tuner i noticed my processor not even in the worse crowded situations ever pass the 30% load while my GPU its Always at 100%

i normaly play on 40fps in not crowded area and like on 10 fps while theres like 6 to 10 people around! this make almost ALL PVP a lose of time!

i know this system can do better if actully the game use the CPU!

I used to have a e5200 2.5ghz and them it was viceversa, there my processor was at 100% load all time while my GPU was sitting at 80%

the change of processor didnt do ani noticeable diference at all

so, im wondering, if this a some kind of bottleneck?
whats happening?

im lately playing Blade and Soul, that have almost same system requeriments as AION!

I can MAX out Blade and Soul and the onli lag i experience its cuz the 400ms for being playing so far from server, no grphic lag, but this game actually keeps my CPU and GPU around the 90% load!

While AION keep bottlenecking some way! just playing in almost all mid setting default, with a low resolution, its keep being unplayable!

Ani opinions?

Edit: afther some more research i downgrade all graphic settings to the lowest possible, and while my gpu was at around 40% load the FPS still didnt do ani improve! SOOOOO this its Definitely because the game its not using my processor!

so, how to fix this bottleneck o.o?

BTW im having this issue with my pc, this could be leak of power? Semi Dead PSU

but even knowing my pc dont boot at once, i dont think afther boot up it is not giving the need power, because i have never got a sudden reset, shutdow or BSOD!

and since i have a CRT monitor i could maybe buy a new LCD LED 19'' Widescreen and let the PSU for later @_@

Thanks in advance!

Solution

psu and graphics card are pretty...

get at least a 500w psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438016

logic psu are garbage evga corsair or even coolermaster are better

plus your getting crap graphics for performance per watt a 7790 uses less power then the 4850

http://www.hwcompare.com/14393/radeon-hd-4850-1gb-vs-radeon-hd-7790/

graphics card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121727

finally if you notice any gameplay bottleneck in future

use this to check your motherboard manufacturer and get back to me with it
http://www.piriform.com/speccy

it could be possible you can go up to a quad 8400 easily found on amazon there fairly cheap used

cheap 20 inch wide screen to support new card hdmi so you get the max out your card

Ohhhh niceee buttttt, IM POOR! ^^

with such suggestion i better just trow out trought window my whole pc and buy a new one and PFFFF problem fixed!

but oh well!

aniways im looking more for fixes and solutions to what i have more than GO BUY ALL NEW THINGS CUZ YOUR WHOLE PC SUCKS xD

actually just trying to know why this game someway bottleneck? cuz it should dont!
i need to know someway to know if my pc its having enough power?
if even when my Semi breal PSU its having it them i better buy the Monitor rather than the PSU but i cant buy boths cuz you know POOR xD

sorry if i sound a bit rude but it is cuz my bad english and not cuz i tryed to be sarcastic or rude or mean or anithing like that

psu and graphics card are pretty much crap as for monitor you dont have to change that right away most cards bundle a vga adapter for older monitors that you stick on the card

id grab the psu first

save up and get a 7790 with the adapter this one has such a adapter
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131491

doing this will double your performance compared to your old card

when your cpu is at 30 load and the gpu is at 100 it usually means the gpu is taking the whole load on the graphics side.

one other thing you could try is using direct x9 instead of direct x 11 if it has those options as older cards hate direct x 11 kills frames hard

buying a new pc wouldnt fix the problem

Well since no one seems to shoot into the point of what i need and now that i think abouit it a bit!

I maybe could sell my 4850 and get enough to buy a 7790 since i can sell it expensive on my country and buy it cheap on net! of course ill need to use a bit my pocket

if i can get to do this ill be able to buy both PSU and Upgrade GPU and stick on my crt till i buy a new one

Aniways for some reason afther look at some pictures about the XFX 7790 i think this its a extremely little GPU that will burn on ani 24/7 Stress under 90% more load! ani suggestion¿? on a same performance card with better cooling system?

ill try to force the game in direct x9 some way in the meanwhile!

So, following the beyondlogic directx9 suggestion and into they forums suggestion to use the x32 version of the game instead of the x64 from a x64 windows i got a real improvement, now im really playing 60 fps when in normal situations and around 30 fps on really crowded areas

now my CPU its normally while playing jumping on spikes from 60% load to 90+% while my GPU its not always at 100% not its jumping from 90% to 98%

Now i cant sit in this and buy a new PSU before this one fry my PC and take my time to buy a new GPU later!

This its more than what io expected already, but ani other suggestion like the directx9 will be welcome too >:D

good to here direct x 9 has somewhat fixed the issue and 32 bit

if you havent already

go into graphics settings and drop shadows and water effect halfway down as this should increase fraps also do not add aa

if going for the 7790 later

look for evga 500w or cx 500w corsair there usually the cheapest for best value psu

This 3 cards on ebay are around the 140 - 160 so i guess the best choice its the 7850, but i have another question, i has always stuck on XFX over all other brands, does you recommend power color over XFX? because XFX have some bad reviews on this cards!

power colour are mixed bag when it comes to reliability xfx have had more issues lately

better brands then both are sapphire/asus/or gigabyte
