I have a plan buying below (my requirement is good gaming and surfing)
core i5 4th gen 4440 processor
1GB NVIDIA GRAPHICS card,
4GB DDR3 RAM,
500GB HDD

Does the above configs get supported on Intel DH61WW or Intel DH61BF Motherboard.
If its supported there would be any pros.
Im in great confusion in buying motherboard.
So please help me and tel me which motherboard is suitable for the configs.
Also tell me whether these configs help in high graphical gaming and good surfing.

Solution

core i5 4440 is not compatible with h61 chipset motherboards due to socket incompatibility. you will need at least a h81 chipset motherboard or others like b85, h87 or z87 motherboard.

what 1GB nvidia graphics card? vram is less important than the gpu.

is 4GB 1 stick or 2x 2GB kit? 2x 4GB would be better for dual channel operation.

above all, what is your budget?

Thank u so much roy !!!!! for ur timely help.....my budget for building the CPU alone is around 23000 - 25000 rupees...so please provide me a configuration with a good gaming and surfing pc....4 GB is 1 Stick only...is there a difference in 1 stick or 2 stick usage ????

um.. 23k-25k in inr? is that for the cpu alone? or are you refering to the whole pc? according to flipkart.com, core i5 4440 costs 12828 inr. that's over 50% of the budget considering 25k inr as limit. it won't leave much for a good motherboard, gfx card, power supply, case, ram, hdd etc. if 23-25k inr is for the cpu alone, then what's the budget for the rest of the pc?

dual channel is better for memory operation, needs 2 sticks (dimms) of identical spec.

k de_roy thanks once again....so please assume the budget as 30k...now can u specify the configs for my needs...im in great confusion and dnt know what to do exactly.....and another doubt now rises in me..considering AMD Components its so cheaper than Intel...can i go for AMD or be steady in Intel itself..????

i still need to know if you want all of the hardware parts of a pc excluding monitor, keyboard and other peripherals. and which parts do you need? list them. are you recycling parts from a previous build?

amd is certainly cheaper and the money saved from cpu budget can be spent on other part(s). just they won't perform like core i5. however, if your build doesn't allow a powerful gfx card, you might not notice until you really push your pc and compare it to an intel build.

here's an amd gaming build for reference:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-a-pc-fx-6300-overclocking,3617.html
if you can't afford the gfx card, replace it with one of your choice and re-calculate the total in inr.
here's another with intel:

i have a system ryt nw...im goin to rebuild it...i dont need monitor, keyboard and other peripherals....i need the CPU components....cos my previous configs is the worst in the world...i need to rebuild it to a good one.... i need Processor,RAM.Hard drive,Motherboard,Graphics card which should be fitted within 30k....so please help me n this roy....and also tel me whether AMD have any problems during their component's usage and also i dont know abt AMD service center.....why most of them don't go for it ??????

check the two builds i linked in earlier post. they'll help you understand what kind of parts you need to look for.
what is your current config? if you don't know, download and run piriform's speccy program.

amd's biggest problems are less performance, power and heat. but their advantage is that they deliver a large chunk of intel-level performance at a lower price. so if you can live with the drawbacks, you might be able to save some money. i checked flipkart and noticed that the lowest core i5 costs at least 12k inr. meanwhile fx6300 costs under 8k and fx8320 costs under 10k inr respectively. with intel you get performance, but you also pay highly for it and end up cutting corners if you set your budget low.

here's a bunch of parts, assuming these will fit under your budget:

you'll still need a good power supply to run a new pc. do not cut corner on choosing one. if you don't have a good one right now, you need a new one.

you also need to check your local shops for better prices. some of the motherboards i was looking for were not available on flipkart, mostly cheaper lga1150 ones, compatible with 4th gen core cpus.

roy..nw i have one qn...considering AMD leave that performance....but can we manage the power and heat by having good coolers and power supply....if its possible then we can go for AMD itself ryt ????

i hope that the parts work together and you have a good, working pc. the problem with low budget is that it only allows few midrange parts and mostly entry level parts which don't have wide reputation for reliability. keep that in mind.

yes. you can easily manage heat dissipation using good coolers (and you should), but the heat is exhausted out of your case and in your room where the pc resides, then raises ambient (room) temperature. more power use results in more dissipated heat and higher temperature.

power supply delivers power from your wall socket to your pc. if you buy a low quality, cheap one, you risk damaging your costly pc components, cause performance and reliability issues. it is often overlooked part of the pc.
