Hey all, happy new year to everybody!
The problem i have is that i must get a new GPU for my PC. I've been looking several video card but i can't decide between them what suits me better. My budget is around 120€ but i can go up to 150€ if it's really worth it (even tho i would like to spend so much if possible). The game i play most is League of Legends so i don't really need a really powerfull GPU but i would like something that lets me play some other games without lag or fps issues. I would even like to use a dual monitor in the future so it would be nice to take a GPU that can support it.
These are the GPU i found for now:
- HD 7790 1GB DDR5 ~115€
- R7 260X 2GB DDR5 OC edition ~115€
- HD 7850 1GB DDR5 OC edition ~145€
- HD 7850 2GB DDR5 ~148€

My gaming pc components are:
PSU: 520w Seasonic
CPU: i5 4570
Mobo: Asus H87
RAM: 4GB x2 DDR3 Corsair 1600Mhz

I'm sorry for my not perfect English but i'm an Italian user.
Thank you very much to everyone!

Hello and happy new year to you too! ^.^

All of those GPUs have multiple out ports, so you'll be able to use multiple monitors. If you intend to game using both of your monitors (widescreen or whatever that's called), you'll need a beefier GPU, especially if the resolution is high.

You didn't say what resolution your monitor has... (That's important, as the more pixels the GPU has to push, the harder it needs to work.)

I'm guessing it's a 1080p one, so here's my breakdown:
7790: If you don't mind lowering your settings a bit in LOL, you'll be fine. Gaming with two monitors would only run with the lowest settings (maybe low-mid). Other, more intense games would also require decreased settings (Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Metro...

R7 260x: The performance is the same as the 7790, so... But I do recommend this one if you don't want to go with the 7850s. It's newer and has some more AMD features enabled.
7850: Both of these are the same, though maybe the OC version would give you more FPS. Both can be further OC'd, so the 1GB version is a scam if it "offers better performance". The extra 3€ shouldn't be a problem (the more the pixels, especially with multiple monitors, the more VRAM is needed). Those would play most of today's games at the highest settings, though the 1GB one might have issues pushing Ultra-class textures to two monitors.

Decide on what you need: If you intend to play new games (2014, WOOHOO!) or just want them all maxed out, you'll want to get the 7850.
If, however, you only play a select few titles, or don't care much about the quality, the 260x will serve you well (a friend of mine has a GTS450 (the same as 7790) and LOL runs fine for him maxed on 1920x1200).

And your English is better than of half those who never apologize about it :p

EDIT: Geez, you guys are quick! :p
But the guy probably wants some more info than just "get this or that". Explain, give arguments etc.

EDIT2: Also, if you like NVidia, your options would be the 650 Ti, 650 Ti Boost, and the little pricier 660.
The 650 Ti is the same as the 7790, the Boost version is a bit above, and the 660 would be the in between the 7850 and 7870. They do go a bit above your budget though, at 180€ (660).

yes i'm using a 1080p monitor. But i'm not planning to play on 2 monitor, i would like to use the second one for browsing and other apps while the main one is for playing without needing to Alt+Tab around. I've been playing league at max details since now with a gt630 at 60fps (with no shadows tho) so i think the 7790 can support the full details. The main reason i was taking in consideration to spend 30€ more is the fact that both 7790 and r7 260X hava a max resolution of 2560 (don't remember the exact number) x1600 and i didn't know if this ment using both monitor NOT at 1920x1080 resolution (i have no experience on using dual displays so this might be a non existing problem). I'm not planning to play high end games at max details actually, if i play something else other than league it's Planetside 2 or some coop game with friends like left 4 dead 2. The main thing i would like is that the GPU i buy isn't a bottleneck to the rest of the pc and forces me to change it in 1-2 years from now. Thank very much for the help!

EDIT: I didn't consider NVIDIA much because sticking to GPU compare site (i know that these are not the best way to decide what to buy but it was to have an idea about it) all ATI cards had better or equal performance at a lower price. If this i wrong feel free to suggest me some NVIDIA cards to take in consideration!

Hi, don't try gaming across two monitors, the centre of your display will be situated at the point where the bezels intersect, it just won't work well at all, you'll need three monitors if you plan to go eyefinity or surround, and if you plan to do that, you will need a better GPU, a 2GB 7850 would manage it just on older games, but I'd seriously recommend something more powerful if you are seriously contemplating multi-monitor gaming, and the amount of Vram is important as you increase that resolution. Decide if you want to go multi monitor before you decide on what card you want, let us know and we can help you more there.

Yeah, AMD cards are normally cheaper for the same performance, but I'm sort of a fan :p

You could probably get away with a GTX 770 and nothing would bottleneck (with a new PSU, of course), so there's nothing to worry. Haswell i5s are powerful things...

If you don't want to change anytime soon, the more powerful is always better. But if you don't plan on playing any high-end games maxed in your 2-year time period, the 260x should do it for you.

All of these GPUs will support two 1080p monitors. Really, they will.

As i said in my last post i'm planning not to game on 2 monitors but to use one for gaming and the other for all other pc app without needing to alt tab. Multi display gaming wouldn't work for me because the display i have now is a 19 or 21" (don't remember atm) LCD while the one i will get in the future will probably be a 22" LED one so they wouldn't look so good together ;)

Sorry got distracted and didn't see that one :) The dual displays setup your suggesting won't be a problem with the max res of the cards, they're separate displays so they'll each run fine at 1080p

Ok so i will probably go with the r7 260x! Some other small questions about this, first of all should i take it of a brand over another? For example, the one i found at 115€ is Sapphire but i read around forums that gigabyte are better while i should avoid XFC cause they have heating problems. Another question is about the OC, earlier on you said that all ATI card can be OC, should i be doing this to the GPU i buy? (it's an OC edition)
