Hello everyone,
I have a custom built PC at home that I had made up at the store (didn't trust my skills at the time) that I ran by the lovely techs at the store and more than a few lovely people on here. The system I now have works perfect and its awesome, I seriously have no idea why I ever bought factory generic ones. The reason I am back now however is because I wish to update my system or more specifically my graphics card. I run some rather taxing games on my computer and the graphics card just cannot keep up any more. My games now run for an hour and then crash as well as some serious lagging.

Here is my current system:
- Dell S2340L 23in IPS LED Monitor
- Shintaro Internal Card Reader 3.5"
- 3.5 to 5.25 FDD/Card Reader Mount Black
- Antec High Current Gamer 520W HCG-520
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
- ASUS GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II 2GB OC
- Kingston HyperX KHX16C10B1K2/16X (2x8GB) DDR3
- Intel Core i7 3770
- ASRock H77-PRO4-MVP Motherboard
- Samsung SH-224BB/BEBS SATA DVDRW Drive OEM
- Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl

Possible New Graphic Card:
- MSI GeForce GTX 760 Gaming Edition OC 4GB $379.00
or
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC 4GB $399.00
or
- EVGA GeForce GTX 760 FTW ACX 4GB $409.00

I am willing to switch out a few of the older parts like the power, motherboard, etc. If any of you have suggestions they are more than welcome as money is a thing I would like to conserve any cheaper suggestions would be loved!!!

Thank you in advance,
Paula

You already have a very capable graphics card.
A GTX760 is not that big of a jump in capability, you might be disappointed.

Unfortunately, a GTX760 is about the strongest card your 525 w psu will support.
Do not spend extra for 4gb of vram. It does not much help performance.

At the very least, buy a EVGA superclock factory overclocked version of a 2gb GTX760.

If you can manage it, a GTX770 will make a bigger difference to you.
Your Antec 520w psu is a very good one, and likely can run stronger than advertised.
It has 40a, while a GTX770 needs 42a. I might buy a GTX770 and try it. Be prepared to swap out the psu if you really need to.

I play a few game like Splinter Cell and Skyrim but at the moment the biggest problem I am having is with the Sims 3 as ridiculous as it sounds. I have thousands of content downloaded for it, over 200 mods and the files are mega huge now. I like playing my game that way and even though I have turned all the settings down its lagging like hell and then just crashes. My other games are staring to be effected. I don't know much about computer systems or over-clocking (in fact I know NOTHING about over-cloaking) so if a over cloaked 2GB can give me enough of a boast to handle all of that then I would be more than happy to do that. I don't mind if I have to switch the power supply for a larger one as long as in the end it all works.

I know I don't know much but when I updated last time from a 1GB to the 2GB there was a MASSIVE difference and since my memory is barely being used (less than a quarter) I figured that adding the extra VRAM would be best. If I am wrong I apologise and would love if you could explain to why I am and what would be better I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you!
