using two hdds

Solution

Replace HDD with SSD (which is what I think you meant) and that statement is mostly true. And SSD (or faster HDD) speeds up load times, and level loading. Game FPS? Not so much.

However...an SSD GREATLY improves the overall operation of the PC. If all you use it for is a pseudo Xbox/gaming console, then maybe you don't need one. But I would...

There will be no noticeable slowdown in using multiple hard drives.

An SSD is a sold state hard drive. No moving parts, like on a regular drive. Usually internal. Acts just like a regular drive, but way faster. And far smaller for the price.

Those two are similar to each other however the Raptor would be better for games (due to speeds at 10 000 rpm). Essentially what I was saying is that an ssd is better than a caviar black in all aspects but doesn't mean the caviar black lacks performance for your needs.
