So Im planning on building a gaming pc on a budget around £800 maximum.... This includes case and components and a monitor
I want to squeeze in a 7970 and i was thinking an amd fx8320 maybe
I'd be playing all the top games like battlefield 4 and ect, on medium to high settings, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Best solution
So on amazon uk?
GPU: Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II 191pounds
CPU: AMD FX8320 110 pounds
PSU: Seasonic S12II-520 520W 50pounds
Case:Corsair 200R about 45pounds if u get a good deal off it
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 about 55pounds (I am not an expert on AMD mobos, just get an AM3+ socket motherboard u should do some research but with sales u can get a decent for 55pounds arround that)
RAM: G.Skill 8GB 1600mhz 2X4gb modules CL9 62pounds
HDD:Western Digital Black - 3.5 inch 1TB 66pounds
Total: 579 pounds shipping not included
Should be able to run games at high, some of this year at ultra even
If u are strictly gaming and you dont like that mobo u can reduce the budget on the CPU a little and use the remainning cash on the mobo

This, GTX 760 is pretty good for BF3/4.

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/battlefield_4_vga_... benchmarks for BF4
At 1080p the GTX 760 at ultra 2XMSAA gets 54 fps, u can dial down the MSAA and get more fps if u like
Its a pretty good build

Well the 7950 is similar to the 270x, the GTX 760 is also pretty good, the reason i chose the gtx760 for your build is because it was lower priced and on discount making it cheaper than the 270x while still similar, u can compare the GTX 770 with the 280x and the GTX 760 with the 270x they are similar in performance, the AMD GPU's are better for e-coin mining so their prices are rising, but if u feel better with a 7950 or 270x instead of a GTX 760 go ahead, u will be very well off with any of them

Well.....it really depends.....they are both excellent cards, AMD gets a bonus from drivers in some games but its not significant, Nvidea cards have advanced Physx (The AMD Cards can only install normal physx) and they got better drivers on games like Batman /Assasins creed/Splinter cell........however the drivers arent really significant since yes its true that BF4 had AMD drivers 2 days before the Nvidea drivers for it was out but still 2 days is not a long time........
I was about to get a GTX760 myself and got a GTX 770 instead because of the Holiday sale on Nvidea cards, if that wasnt there i dont know how i would have decided between the GTX 760 and the r9 270x, its really up to you. But like i said they are both excellent cards, and Asus Direct CII moded cards are usually silent and run smooth and cool so.........
Bottomline i would say GTX 760, its my personal preference, it runs a little faster, has a little more bandwith memory and u have Nvidea drivers which i love
I hope i was helpfull, because its kind of hard to decide because the R9's and the Gtx 700's are very close sometimes

Dont worry mate
happy to help/teach what i can
Well Asus is maybe the best after market GPU-maker, i like them and have not had any cooling/noise issues with them, i reckon MSI and EVGA also make good cooling/OC versions of GPU's however i cant say about Gygabyte, i had no gigabyte gear, ever, from my experience Asus, MSI and EVGA wont let you down unless u get a faulty GPU (Which is extremely rare) in which case u just trade it in for a new one. I wouldnt reccomend much over Asus to be honest
i dont have an Asus gtx770 because asus doesnt make 4gb gtx770 or else i would have one
But thats my opinion, Gigabyte may be an excellent GPU builder, just in my experience EVGA/MSI And asus are excellent you will be fine with any of these 3.
Hope i helped
