Windows 8.1 Safe Mode Boot Fail

Hello TH Forum

This is very strange. Please help!!
I was just now asked to boot my PC in safe mode in order to install a second component of the software.
So I enter winkey+r, go to msconfig, boot tab, safe mode-minimum, prompt for restart and boom. Great.
Problem is the restart never followed through. PC boots but absolutely no signal to monitor at all. No nothing.
Tried everything I know of. No faulty connection, nothing.

Could the software be a virus? Did I do something wrong in safe mode settings? Something is not connecting.

Please help, this is my last resort.
Thanks.

in this case i would think the video is just going out of another video source that is on your system.
(mother board video, or one from your graphics card, my system has 4 sources and I have to move cables or make custom setting changes to get it to come to the one I want for safe mode boots)
