Hello's,

I have the EVGA GTX 770 SuperClocked with ACX Cooler ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CZIQXBA/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pe_309540_26725410_item )

I'm seeing (seemingly) high temperatures when playing games. Specifically Bioshock Infinite the GPU Temp spikes to 90C and hovers around 80-85. The fan kicks in to 70%+ and it is definitely not quiet. I built this PC with the hopes of a quiet build.

I was wondering what options I have of getting a liquid cool kit for this card, and if anyone has any experience doing this. Does it significantly reduce temp? What about noise?

I'm looking at http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsragtx770fu.html?gclid=COfuh4yr3bsCFfPm7Aod_0UAUw --- but I'm not sure if it'll fit my card. Does "NVidia GTX 770" include my card?

Thanks for any help

[Also, I believe I have sufficient case cooling. One front pulling in. One bottom pulling in. One top pulling in attached to radiator for CPU. And one on the back pushing out. I've also tried running games with side panel completely open and the ambient room temperature at 70F.]

Solution
The ACX cooler is excellent; unless the fans are either not spinning or the cooler is non functional (heat pipes broken or cooler not attached properly) to 90C. Return the card, even reference blower designs should get up to 85C absolute max.

Adding a water cooler for your GPU would really give you the major temp drops you are looking for. Do you have an open loop system in your build, if not, I would recommend the NZXT g10, and you can just get another closed loop system. But if you have an open loop already, that waterblock will work for that card and you'll be all set. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply.

Considering I do not know what a closed-loop vs an open-loop cooling system is, I'm going with I do *not* have one. The only water cooling I have is the Corsair Hydra H55 Quiet Edition for the CPU.

So if I understand this correctly, all I would need is the NZXT G10 for my EVGA GTX 770? Is everything I need included?

Thanks again!

A closed loop system is a radiator, pump, and block all in one loop, for one component (Ie your H55)
Open loop are the custom ones that cost hundreds of dollars, but also run better, and can integrate all components into it.
The G10 would be what you need.
