so I gotta order my parts pretty soon and I really wanted to get the MSI N770 Lightning however it's out of stock on newegg if you can link me a website with them in stock thats great but I think ill need to move onto a new alternative, even though I really like MSI's TF.

So what I was looking at was the Galaxy GTX 770 HOF: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...

I don't really mind the price and im assuming their cooling is great aswell to be OCed to 1.2Ghz.

any other alternatives?

More about : msi stock

Maybe try a AMD R9 280X card. It's about the same performance and even cheaper and it has a really nice upcoming feature: Mantle.

You will want to look at the ASUS CUII, Gigabyte Windforce, and do check out that Galaxy HOF.
All are very reliable and very, very quiet.
Especially the CUII

that's not the lightning, which I'm clearly looking for are a similar alternative. I would've gotten the MSI N770 Gaming if I wanted

Well the Galaxy is a budget brand similar to Powercolor in AMD cards. My personal opinion is that the TF's 3% slower (performance) speed does not really matter when we are talking gaming experience.

CU II is terrible when under load however its great when idle.
I've been looking at both the Galaxy HOF and Gigabyte Windforce

R9 280Xs are still in the $400 era due to bitcoin buyers

Well of the two I think you should get the HOF. Just because performance is going to be identical, and after that you might as well get a card that looks amazing

Yeah but the Galaxy HOF doesn't seem to be the budget type but rather the high end

The brand Galaxy is a budget brand but they always make a high end cards that look nice, Powercolor does the same with AMD cards. Galaxies higher end OC card have always got nice reviews because of relatively high performance (high clock speed) for lower price compared to the competitions. It does not change the fact they are a budget brand.

The Gigabyte has been very popular where people can actually fit its extreme length!

well my current 5770 has this like handle so it makes the length about 12.1 inches. However Im getting a Corsair 600T which is much bigger than the current dell case I have so Im pretty sure the gigabyte card can fit.
