So i built a pc about 2 months ago and i was on a budget.

Here are the specs:

AMD FX 4130
POWERCOLOR RADEON HD 7850 2GB GDDR5
GIGABYTE GA LMT S2P(crappy cheap motherboard)
8GB DDR3 KINGSTON HYPER BLU X
CIT SHADE WITH PSU
80GB HDD 7200 RPM (i know i was on a budget)

I made this pc for dayz mainly and BF4 etc. I bought dayz and then i got into a server and i only got 20-30 FPS after tampering with the settings. I searched it up online and i saw people getting up to 80 fps. Then i realised my CPU was clocked at 2.8 GHZ and it was a constant 2.8 GHZ. So in any game it as at 2.8 GHZ , even minecraft. I know my motherboard is rubbish so is it my motherboard limiting the GPU and CPU? How can i increase FPS? Is there bottleneck with the CPU and GPU? I tried going into the bios and setting the clock speed to 3.8GHZ but then my pc couldnt start up so i had to restore with windows. Online it said to turn off cool n quiet and i couldnt find that either.

Thanks to anyone who answers!

what version bios you have? - cpu support list on gigabyte's website says atleast F4 for this CPU...
and these 760g chipset boards are not ideal for these cpus however i expect it should work properly when everything is updated...

you can find "cool n quiet" in bios under some cpu core features or power settings, smth like that... just look around,

- actually scratch that - 4130 is NOT in the support list, although most of the bulldozers are...
can't guarantee anything but hope it works out

Uh you got a bad CPU and Motherboard back there.. AMD FX 4130 is AMD FX's bulldozer series and they are worse CPUs to buy... Did you really thought that you could play BF4 with that CPU? Then I think you had a very bad thought... The motherboard is not meant for gaming or I say for high-end operations... I suggest you to change the CPU and the motherboard whenever possible... I would suggest you to get AMD FX 8230 and ASUS M5A97 R2.0... Choose that motherboard if you are on a budget and if not then get either of these two -
1. ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
2. Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

of course you can play bf4 with this cpu.. don't be ridiculous, bf4 infact performs amazingly well on most fx cpu's ... just the bulldozers won't do as well as others... i used to play BF3 on almost maxed out settings on a core2duo and it was smooth

also is your hyperxblu ram 1600 or 1333mhz? - this board officially supports up to 1333... altho should probably run 1600 as a oc setting...
just pay attention to what it's set at in bios....

I am not saying that this CPU cannot play BF4... I am saying it won't give good performance... It is a bulldozer processor... C'mon if he had a 8320 he could get a hell of a good performance... Bulldozers are crap

so start with a bios update if you don't have the newest version ... i tried gigabyte;s @bios program and it worked just fine via windows...
after that if there are still issues try to set the ram to 1333manually... unless it's already running at that speed by default

It says rev 3.1,4.0 and 5.x. What does that mean?

"rev" should mean motherboard's revision - 5.x eing the newest as far as i can tell on gigabyte's website
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4125#
check the bios first maybe you can fix this issue with ease... of course if you want to get a better motherboard that's not a bad choice but i would first try get this one up and running since it might just work fine...
you can see the bios version during boot if you look quickly..

or just go the easy route and download:
http://www.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/121/tech_a_bios.htm

In my case the atbios program shows 970A-UD3P F1 under BIOS sign on message - where "F1" means the first bios version...
you can update it with this tool with ease...

also if you do this better follow the instructions and turn of all programs especially antivirus when you attempt to update it .... i would feel more comfortable updating from the bios file you can download on the site under "downloads"

after that it installed... and now it is under your programs list ;)
you know ... click "start" - all programs - gigabyte..... you get the idea....
also make sure you Download the regular one ... NOT the one for X79 Chipset motherboards
