Im looking for an 8gb sticks of RAM. This is a gaming build. Pretty powerful. Should be able to run DayZ, crysis3 and the like.

What kind/brand of Ram should I get?
There are so many and I dont really understand what makes each better.

I dont mind going to 16gb, but I dont see why I would need to. I dont intent to overclock, or watercool. Any thoughts welcome.

This is the one I was thinking of buying:

The Kingston would work fine. But your board supports up to 2100Mhz so youd be losing out on a little bandwidth, wouldnt affect you much at all but, the difference is there none the less.

As was mentioned earllier - would need to know what it's going with - and what you mention the Rock 970 mobo and a 4670 CPU

"GPU: Gigabyte R9 280X 3072 MB GDDR5

Mobo: AsRock 970 Extreme3

Proccesor: i5 4670

PSU: Corsair 650watt"

isn't going to be it - the 4670 is a Intel socket 1150 CPU and the mobo mentioned is an AMD AM3+ mobo for AMD CPUs - they just won't work together period

Really? Doesn't the Asrock run with both?

The ASRock 970 is an AMD mobo, Socket AM3+ so NO, you can't put an Intel i5 4670 in it, the 4670 only runs on Intel socket 1150 mobos - you could get the Rock's Z87 (not 970) Extreme 3 and it will run on that, they also have the the Z77 Extreme 3 which is yet another socket, the 1155 and NO the 4670 won't run on that either............
