The EOS 300 SLR has the EF lens mount, and the EOS 650D can support either EF lens or EF-S lens. So you can use those EF lens in EOS 650D.

depends on if it was made before or after 1987 because thats when they changed the mount on the cameras.

Yes you can use your Autofocus Canon lenses on a DSLR camera. The one limitation with Canon is that EF-S Lenses cannot be used on Canon Full Frame DSLR cameras.
