Multiple layers of access points

Pre-story:
Due to company paid internet, I do not have full control of the main router, which is built into the same unit as the modem. Hence, I am forced to use my normal router (an Airport Extreme) in bridge mode.

Problem:
I would like to extend the network, using simple access points, such as the Zyxel WRE-2205. However, will this be possible when the Airport Extreme is in bridge mode? And will features like the auto-backup that Apple products use (Time Machine) still work?

Thanks in advance, and a merry new year to ya all! :)

That is deffinitly something like that I'm hoping for as a long term sollution. But I just moved into a new house, and haven't fixed the wiring just yet. Hence I need something wireless that can be plugged into a power source and work as a small local extension of the primary router (Airport Extreme). Also it needs to be able to be connected to by ethernet cable, as my stationary PC does not have a wireless card. As I understood it, this was possible with the Zyxel, but I might be wrong?
