Dear all,

I recently upgraded my graphic card to an ASUS HD 7770 1GB. Now my PC starts after 3 attempts and beeps. There is no issue once I start however this never happened before so I am a little concerned.

My specs are:-
- Intel Core i3 (550) 3.2 GHz
- Intel DH55HC MOBO
- Corsair Value Select 1333 Mhz DDR-3 Ram 8 GB (2 gb X 4)
- Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600w PSU

Please help!

You either installed it wrong (not seated correctly or you did not plug the power in) or there is an issue with the power supply or motherboard PCIe slot. Take it out, re-seat it and make sure the power is plugged in. If it still is not detected by the system, you either need to test it in another computer or contact the vendor of the video card for support and a possible replacement.

EDIT -- so looks like it IS working as per your last post. You can change the primary video card by simply disabling the onboard video in the BIOS or in Windows. Just make sure the 7770 is where you have the monitor plugged into.

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-010249.htm

"Memory error

Reseat the memory.
Make sure that the contacts on the memory and the socket are clean.
Try removing one bank of memory modules at a time. (Some systems can require a memory module in Bank 0.)
Try using memory modules from the same manufacturer with the same part number and speed.
Check for a faulty memory module by trying the memory in a known good system."

Actually i've checked and the issue is a bit different. Before installing the new graphic card I had been using the builtin intel onboard graphics card for a week. Now that ive put the ASUS 7770 in this is happening. The primary issue is that the card is detected and installed with latest drivers and I can physically see it on as well the but the computer isnt utilizing it. When I went on to systemrequirements lab it still shows my integrated card not this one. Please advise!

Turns out that after installing the DirectX End-User Run Time Environment (which I hadn't since my windows was a fresh install) all these issues have disappeared i.e. the beeping, the graphic card not being used and all. Just played CoD Ghosts on high settings so I guess everything is back to normal =P Thanks for the help!
