Quality Headset for the Xbox 360 and PC?

So, I have the Tritton 720+ ad I am happy with them... sort of. they make a hum/buzz noise that never stops and is quite annoying. I would like to trade them in and get my money back and get a new headset. My requirements for the new headset would be: compatible with Xbox 360 and PC, doesn't have to be wireless, and below $140. The headset does not have to be 7.1 surround sound, but I want to make sure that it has quality bass and does not have tinny highs. I want a good sounding headset that will be compatible with the Xbox and PC. Hopefully you guys can give me some suggestions, THANKS!

Lg730tone+. Connects to every device so far. Laptop, 2 phones, kindle,+ PS 3. Havent tried xbox yet. Very good sound quality.versatile. 40$ on amazon.a must have

Do you have any suggestions for a headset that is a bit more expensive? Something of a bit higher quality, because i have $140 for a new one.

Would this headset be a good choice? Does it work for PC because I have not found a solid answer...
