Hello.
I am building a new pc.
I have a 4gb ram already installed and 3 available ddr spots.
I was thinking of having 8gb ram in total and I was wondering if two 2gb ram is better than one 4gb ram considering that they have the same parameters as eachother.
I will not buy 2 4gb ram so please dont suggest that to me as i only want a total of 8gb.
now my question is simple, which one is better performance wise?

I would add another stick of 4GB.

Well more than likely your CPU and motherboard are dual channel. So running 2 RAM sticks would be optimal as opposed to just 1 stick.

If all you have is a single 4GB stick and 2x4GB sticks, then stick with the dual channel set unless you want to buy another 4GB stick which you said no to but still want a total of 8GB somehow.
