hi there been looking to build my own pc and been told to buy my own parts and put it together myself as its cheaper no i have sat here for few days and researched and come up with this
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2tSHd
For £1500 ish give or take. Thinking thats my best option i come across this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/VIBOX-Splendour-Performance-Pil... Cheaper than my build but looks better on paper now i will still have get monitor and keyborad aand that so say its another 200 extra to get this sorted . i want to know if this better than my build and if it worth looking for more like this instead of building one ? thanks

More about : build buy

Build your own but not the one you made. I'll make you one.

One of the main problems with most prebuilts is lack of insight as to what specific parts are inside, and too much focus on the flashy bits.

In this case:
What PSU?
What SSD? That Corsair is midrange at best.
32GB RAM? Way overkill, but it sounds nice anyway.
What HDD? (whatever they need to push off this week)

Bottom line....at that price point, it would be silly not to get exactly the individual parts and capacities you need.

90 pounds less and will be much better for gaming

i see what you have done there ... i will be video editing and music production mainly that is why i went for the i7. Also when i am gaming i will be using the pc to record it too. Will the i5 cover all that with ease then ? i just want the most optimized pc possible not got allot of money just come into a bit idealy wanted to only spend 1000 on a complete build monitor and keyboard in all. but you know how it goes when you want the best. Thanks for changing it i have bookmarked your one for future reference . if you wanted to you could put me together one that is £1000 with everything what you think is optimized for gaming best it can and video editing and rendering would be very great full thanks

or this which will leave me money for monitor and keyboard http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B007PBHSWA/ref=...

"High Grade 600W PSU, Hydro H75 Liquid CPU Cooler"
And no OS.

Again....slipping on the parts no one notices. But it sounds good, anyway.

i have never built a pc and i just get worried that my investment could go up in smoke if i build it and one thing i want to know is if i get parts from different suppliers and one part malfunctions and destroys another from a different manufacture the later would not be covered by the doggy manufactures part will it ? but if i get a build it all by the same person so if it did happen like that it all will be covered how does it work ? thanks

It is actually kind of hard to screw it up these days. Mostly everything fits and only plugs in one way.

Yes, if you get a prebuilt and it dies....send it back.
And if you buy all the parts, and something goes up in smoke and takes something else out...oh well. They'll replace the broken part, but not the other stuff that it killed.

But, if you buy quality parts, that is quite rare. Especially the PSU.
And building, you know exactly what went into it, and how it was put together. So when something is not acting right, you have far more of an idea of what it might be.

And at that price point, you can almost certainly build a better performing system for equal money.
