hi, when i am playing some games such as battlefield 4 and the arma 2 dayz mod after a length of time my pc will crash completely and sometimes with a sound loop. it will just freeze on the screen of whatever was on it and i have to reboot the pc. ive heard it can be caused by memory but ive ran memtest and it brought up no errors. my system specs are:

Gigabyte 78LMT- USB 3
Nvidia GTX 650 2GB
8GB Balistix Sport DDR3 Ram
750 W PSU
AMD FX 6100 Six-Core Processor (3.3 Ghz)

any suggestions?

thanks

its a pre built system, the only thing i have changed is the motherboard so i assume the PSU is sufficient as most pcs don't require any more than 750 W of power

i have just been on assasins creed black flag also and after around 10-15 mins of gameplay i got the freeze and sound loop and had to reboot. rather annoying as it never did this when i first got the pc. as for the games RAM usage i honestly couldn't say as i don't know.

not a bios problem imo.if you click on these errors it will give a desctiption down below along with an error code eg 0x00000x21 or something similar.take the error code and google it.some of the most promising answers come from the microsoft forumns.when googling the error codes make sure you add that it is a win7 os.any problems post back.just on a whim have you recently updated your graphics drivers? if so try rolling them back to an earlier driver.

I've only changed the motherboard. All my gpu drivers have been up to date for ages and haven't had problems. I don't really have time to check the errors right now but I will do tomorrow and get back to you

thats obviously something i dont want to have to do if i dont have to but ill look into it. ive just ran a gpu stress test with the fans on auto and the max GPU temp was 70 degrees and it didnt lock up so im thinking the GPU is fine
