Athlon 64 x2 5400+ and 5600+ can be found for as little as $25 on ebay.

i believe you have the am2/am2+ socket. that would make the best cpu for your mobo a x2 64 6000+ or 6400 black edition with a little extra cooling

My Dimension E521 had a socket 939 motherboard.. id say his is the same...

i was wondering the same thing.. last bios update is from sept of 2007 ..

depending on the prices on ebay, might decide to grab an x4 cpu and see if it boots ;)
