I'm wondering if I am bottlenecking because I had ran a stress test on Far Cry 3 and almost 2-3 of the cores were being ignored or given less data to handle because the other cores were getting 40-70% of the data to process.

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4.3 GHz
GPU: AMD RADEON HD 7870
PSU: XTREMEGEAR 800 WATT 80 PLUS

Windows 7 Professional
64 Bit OS

With that setup, not at all. Most of your components are rather balanced, other than your slightly sub-par board. Are you doing any OCing of any kind? As Asus' lower series boards are notorious for overheating, especially on uncooled VRM's.

Yeah I know my PSU looks questionable but it's running perfectly fine and has been for a good 6 months or so...
I did OC my CPU to 4.3 GHz instead of the stock 4.0 and my GPU is stock overclocked at
1110 MHz clock speed
1225 MHz memory clock
