Gelid Solutions GC Extreme Thermal Compound spreading?

Hi,
I always thought spreading thermal paste manually is bad idea as it can leave air bubbles for example but all example application videos for Gelid Solutions GC Extreme showing it being spread using tool it comes with, its really best method of applying it?

Not really. A lot of the time they just do that because people want to actually see that it is spreading. Just put on a line or a drop or whatever method you want, really, and push it on.

wondering why gelid adds the spatula to it then, so even with cooler like that(with bare heat pipes): http://pcfoster.pl/public/images/recenzje/spartan/1/spartan_17.jpg drop/line should be fine?

Yeah, it'll work. I think they just do that because a lot of people do spread it. It's not a bad thing to do, there are just other, better ways.
