Pudget is really good but kinda pricey. Same with maingear and xidax. Frankly you're better off buying parts and building a pc yourself.

Thank you. I wish I had confidence to do it! How would you rank these companies from best to worst? I bought an Alienware aurora. Worst experience ever! Motherboard and video card went out in 3 days, they repaired it and it broke with the same issue the next day! I'm a little Leary now of spending so much on a computer. It seems customer service has gone down to zip, especially with dell.

Frankly IDK because I haven't used any of these companies. I think pudget might be better because most of the big pc websites like tom's hardware have given them awards.

Digital storm might be a better option as far as price goes.
Puget, Digital Storm > Maingear, xidax

I built my first pc just 2 weeks ago and it wasn't that hard to put it together. (I had no computer experience before that). There are plenty of tutorials out there. The hard part is getting good prices on the parts.

I had to make the same decision a few weeks ago and after tons of research, an order placed and cancelled at Origin PC and several attempts to buy parts I ended up buying a XIDAX PC. Their build was $250 higher than I could buy the parts for so I figured maybe the lifetime warranty was worth the extra expense.

So far we've been extremely pleased with the guys at XIDAX. I had questions about checking OC on the CPU and GPU and XIDAX support called and walked me through installation of CPU-Z and GPU-Z and verifying their OC and a little about how they do it vs other ways to OC. I'm planning another build with an i7-4770K now and so far XIDAX is within $200 of my parts prices and they're $500 less than Digital Storm. Tough to talk yourself out of building when that's what you've always done...
