greetings, my friend recently built a new computer, and he was having some trouble getting it set up. he finally got it to start up, but it was just giving him a black screen. I told him to send me the a picture of the build, and found out that the 4 pin power connector to the cpu was not plugged in. problem is, there is no cpu 4 pin connector on the psu, so I am at a loss. I am assuming this is why the computer is giving him a black screen, so i was wondering if we should order a molex to cpu connector, if there is a such thing. any help is appreciated, thanks. here is a picture for reference of the cpu connector not plugged in.

That is about the cheapest and most awful PSU you can buy. It NEEDS to be replaced ASAP with a quality unit. It could easily FRY the computer.

Get a 500w unit from antec, XFX, COrsair, Seasonic.

If the PSU actually over volted, the CPU and GPU could also be shot.

The PSU is the most important part of the PC by FAR and the LAST place to use a junk component. Unfortunately, many people learn this one the hard way. Pick up a 500w unit from the brands I listed and see what the damage to the rest of the components is.
