Upgrading PC, I'm thinking about upgrading my PC, the thing is I could only upgrade either graphic card or cpu (mobo then too).
So I need help, is it better to go for good gpu first (280x maybe)?
My current pc spec is:
Radeon Sapphire 7850 2GB version
AMD Athlon II 635 (2,9Ghz quad)
8 GB of RAM
PSU is no problem for newest gpus

Thanks in advance

Usually with games these days, it doesn't take much cpu to run. All the processing is being moved to the GPU. Try going for a better gpu and see how that works out.
Also I wouldn't try to get a 280x now because they are either out of stock or overpriced (bc of short supply) This is for really any of the radeon r9 series
try a gtx 760 or a 770

The problem I have with nvidia is their graphics card can die like 6 months after varranty of 1 year runs out, personally I dont trust them that much, I managed to save one nvidia by baking it in oven, still works in other PC (gtx 460), Do the newer graphic cards they have happen to have similar problems?

I used to have an nvidia gt 220 and I would play total war games and cod with it on high settings. It was a crappy card but it lasted me 5 years (it still works). I recently upgraded to a gtx 760 and its been working great. Nvidia has come a long time since the 460 haha.

If you are familiar with radeon then by all means buy one, except right now they are extremely overpriced or out of stock.
