I'm considering overclocking one of my monitors. It's an ASUS VS248H-P Full LED 1080p. Nothing fancy.

I'm curious as to how I should go about doing this, and what kind of performance can I expect on average after the fact?

I use an AMD 7970 so I don't have the nVidia control panel to go the easy route.

Solution
open AMD Control Center, Desktop Management, then Desktop properties. There you can change refresh rates. But you may also have to lower resolutions. This is the only method I've tried and know of.

The max refresh rate your monitor will achieve is 75 Hz though.
